Q:
Who is it for?
A: SH&A provides
a highly efficient ANSI/ESD S20.20 ESD Program Design
& Initial Setup Advisory Support Service. It is
intended for Electronic manufacturing facilities having
ISO9001: 2000 Certification and requiring extensive
ESD process control review, program design and recommendations
for ESD controls to meet their specific process requirements.

Q:
Objectives
A: Our objectives
include providing professional ESD Program Design, support
and training to facility ESD coordinator/manager and
(1) Recommend specific ESD controls to create an ESD
Control Model suitable for installation throughout the
facility that (2) meets requirements for ANSI/ESD S20.20
Certification. SH&A knows that once these major
milestones are accomplished, client personnel are capable
of finalizing program details meeting their corporate
requirements, and completing implementation and maintaining
their ESD program on a long-term basis. This approach
quickly provides the most effective ESD control program
design to meet client needs at the lowest development,
implementation and maintenance cost.

Q:
Typical Deliverables
A: While SH&A
provides a custom ESD control program service to meet
each client facility’s need, typical deliverables
include:
- Onsite Facility Evaluation
& Process Assessment
- Clearly defined ESD Program
Design format with specific control recommendations
pertinent to the facility and process in question.
- Specific ESD Technical Control
Recommendations to meet, and exceed the client’s
operational and control needs
- ESD Coordinator Training
in Areas of:
- Basic ESD Process Evaluation
- Fundamental ESD Measurements
- Determining Basic ESD
Technical Control Requirements
- ESD Program writing in
accordance with S20.20 requirements
- Design and implement a facility
process ESD control model
- Provide a final report and
guideline detailing specific ESD control program and
technical recommendations for client implementation
- Provide specific requirements
for Plant Operator Training
- Perform a “Gap Analysis”
to review the completed ESD Control Program documents
generated by the client as compared to ANSI/ESD S20.20
certification requirements.
- Provide client support service
by telephone during the certification process.

Q:
How Long Does it Take?
A: Time requirements
are dependent on size, complexity of the facility and
process sensitivity, number of personnel involved in
ESD coordinator training and secondary advisory requirements
after onsite activities. A typical program requires
from four to six days onsite, and an additional 3 to
5 days of program development, documentation and delivery.

Q:
Fees & Expenses
A: Fees are predicated
on the total number of SH&A personnel and their
service days required to meet requirements, plus related
travel expenses. Usually one SH&A ESD Project Manager
with Trained Lead Assessor/Auditor qualifications is
sufficient for most program development projects. In
most cases, the program is accelerated with the additional
support of an SH&A ESD Technician.

Q:
Program Overview
A: This comprehensive
program will provide a complete review of the client
facility and process, establish ESD program and control
requirements, deliver appropriate ESD training to key
client individuals sufficient to implement and document
the facility ESD control program.
